Stretch Yourself
Three friends go out on a limb at a yoga retreat in India. I’m hardly the first person to have gotten into yoga. But for me, it’s not just another New Age trend. It’s how I reboot. For years, I’ve been practicing yoga in cramped studios throughout New York City, relying on it to restore my balance when work, men, and bad habits threw me off center. It was a natural next step to get my instructor certificate in India through a monthlong Sivananda teacher-training program. Article originally published in Budget Travel, Spring/Summer 2010.
